I rented a house from them. I hald no problem with the house as far as appearance and upkeep. when we first signed the lease tjey told us we would have a option to buy the house after the lease. 8months into the lease we received a knock at the door from the sheriff handing us a letter informing us the house is going through foreclosure. after we made the ostler group aware of this, they would not let us out of our contract. And said we were overacting. I know the realtor may not be aware of the house being in the foreclosure process, but they could of been more professional instead making us stay in the home and taking our money.
I would've given them 0 stars if possible. We found a condo through this company and paid a 1300.00 deposit. The rent was 1095.00 a month and always on time. When our year lease was up we cleaned the property, did everything their checklist requires, paid for a professional carpet cleaning, and took pics. We called several times within the next month inquiring about our deposit and continuously got the run around. About 3-4 months later we got a check and they kept 240.00 for a cleaning company that came to clean and 170.00 for a carpet cleaning. I talked to Tony Ostler and he told me that everyone gets charged the cleaning fee because the apartment has to be cleaned for the next tenant to move in right away (which it wasn't when we moved in, nor does the lease or checklist state that). He then told me the carpet wasn't clean enough, but he would return the carpet fee if I provided him with a receipt from a professional company, which I did. 7 months later from our move out date, today I received a check in the mail for 85.00 and them basically telling me this is what we are giving you for the carpet cleaning. This was the most unprofessional property management group I've ever come across. They rarely return phone calls and will give you the run around. Renters beware!
