It was interesting that even when another large chain sporting good store was in town (something like "Goose Hill"), I was often only able to find a specific item at Dick's. They have an extremely wide selection of sport-related goods and even several choices of a particular item. Depending on your needs, Dick's had a less-expensive item that will do the job; or a more-expensive version, of higher quality and durability. Having this choice allows the customers to select the item that best fits their budget and needs. This is so much better compared to stores that have only ONE such item (usually the expensive version)--a take it, or leave it attitude.
They had what I was looking for and when I needed assistance I was provided a friendly knowledgeable employee to help me with questions I had about products this is what retail is all about
Everyone one was helpful and they got me what I needed. They even offered extra services if I brought the product back to do extra services on it.
Clean floors, well stocked product, decent prices on winter jackets, small selection of "full length" winter jackets(Dec. 2017), fast checkout, and one tired check-out clerk. Maybe keep a pot of coffee in the break room for the employees that aren't used to an a.m. shift.
